Modern life is being drastically altered by digital technology, and this shift is happening faster. There are obvious gaps in addressing the potential and problems of emerging technologies due to inadequate discussion, multilateral partnership, terminology, and institutional adaptability. The Digital Society Initiative (DSI), a research and development project, examines these gaps by studying how digital technology is provided and governed.

We are looking for a Research Fellow who will be a vital member of our small but motivated, imaginative, and dedicated team and who will be helpful in completing projects, expanding our funding base, and interacting with networks.

This is an intriguing chance to work with a quick-thinking team at a renowned think tank to explore novel concepts at the intersection of technological governance and international politics.

Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Assist in the planning and execution of research initiatives with a clear understanding of the target audience(s) and potential for effect that support programme and institute strategic goals.
  • By creating and maintaining connections with important decision-makers, influencers, experts, journalists, businesses, and institutions throughout the world, you may strengthen programme and institute networks for research and impact and contribute to the formation of new alliances and collaborations.
  • Deliver continuing research through creating excellent, publishable research results that are pertinent to policy.
  • Determine options for effective communication and dissemination of project findings through seminars, workshops, publications, and the whole spectrum of internet resources, and explore these opportunities.
  • Create funding opportunities, ready applications, and acquire project funding; improve ties with current contributors.

People

  • Work cooperatively with colleagues to assess funding needs, identify opportunities, and build contacts; create grant submissions and research concept notes.
  • Work together with coworkers and outside partners to create cutting-edge research methodologies, identify institute-wide alignments, and optimise effect.
  • Organise the efforts of the project team and any external and internal partners.
  • When opportunities emerge, disseminate knowledge and insights throughout the programme.

Delivery

  • Inform target audiences, such as policymakers, the media, and opinion leaders, of analyses, insights, and policy suggestions based on research.
  • Utilising economic information, networks, and expertise, programme events, conferences, and roundtables will be better designed and delivered.
  • Create meeting agendas of the highest calibre with focused speaker and attendee lists.
  • Support program/center leadership/management in conducting risk analyses for field research.
  • Make sure the target audiences are fully engaged while monitoring and assessing the project’s impact.
