The purpose of this request for proposals is to raise funds to improve stakeholder engagement methods and procedures across the nation so that Indigenous peoples, local communities, and civil society organisations may all participate in the implementation of the NDC. A regional capacity building initiative that promotes understanding of the NDC process and supports the full and effective engagement of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLC)s in the same would also help these efforts.

Additionally, activities will be firmly rooted in the objective of protecting the rights of Indigenous Peoples and local community stakeholders, such as women and youth, and will take advantage of the chances for Indigenous Peoples and local communities to contribute to the success of NDC implementation.
