2026 theme: “Stories that will Define our Future”

The Griots Fellowship honors Africa’s historic custom of storytelling whereas equipping fashionable-day narrators with the abilities, platforms, and networks to form genuine African narratives in a globalized world.

Named after the standard West African storytellers who preserved historical past and tradition by oral custom, this fellowship helps journalists, writers, filmmakers, artists, and cultural practitioners who’re crafting the tales that outline Africa’s current and future. Eligibility
