Applications are open for the Democracy Camp 2026 – Germany. The Democracy Camp is your 5-day intercultural change on democracy, sustainability, intersectionality, and Europe – and the interconnections between them. Join the neighborhood of 60 younger folks aged 16 to 26 years Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, France, Germany, Romania, Switzerland, and Ukraine.

From 17 till 21 June, they are going to discover two guiding questions: What participation instruments can be found to me? And, how can I take advantage of these instruments to advertise sustainability and inclusion?

Together they are going to establish all kinds of democratic finest practices in sustainability, variety, and the shaping of Europe. They will develop the understanding of political ranges starting from town to the position of the EU and the UN. Also, they are going to advance the talents related for political participation and working profitable tasks sooner or later.

The fundamental output of the Democracy Camp would be the Youth Participation Handbook. It is co-authored by contributors of the Camp, outlining concepts, insights and information, in addition to a sensible information for youth participation and proposals for policymakers to enhance the present state of youth participation in Europe.

Costs

Eligibility

• You have to be between 16 and 26 years of age
