Atlantic Fellows Cohort for Social and Economic Equity

About us

Are you a force for change who is dedicated to combating inequality? Do you want to hear about the newest scholarly findings and professional views on inequality from academics, inventors, activists, and social change organizations? Are you prepared to collaborate with a lifetime worldwide peer network?

We are seeking Fellows who are fearless and willing to take on authority; who understand how inequality is manifesting in larger contexts; who envision solutions with imagination and bravery; who infuse compassion and teamwork into their work; who acknowledge the importance of lived experiences of inequality and draw from their own experiences to inform their work; and who prioritize changing the world through collective and collaborative approaches over advancing their careers.

Eligibility

  • Applicants for both the Residential and Non-Residential tracks must have at least 7 years of experience and be able to meet LSE’s English Language Requirements.
  • Applicants to the Residential track must also qualify for admission to the MSc in Inequalities and Social Science programme at LSE.

Benefits

  • After successfully completing their active fellowship year, Residential and Non-Residential Fellows advance to Senior Fellow status.
  • As Senior Fellows, they will be a part of an international community dedicated to fighting inequality and working together. In addition, they will have access to a variety of funding, learning, and cooperation options as well as coaching support.
  • Along with challenging inequality in their respective contexts and areas, AFSEE Senior Fellows join the larger global community of Atlantic Fellows, which is comprised of participants from seven different Atlantic Fellows programs. The Atlantic Institute supports this worldwide community by providing Senior Fellows with continual opportunities for engagement, connection, and collaboration.

Deadline: will close at 5pm UK time on 11 January 2024.

How to apply

All applicants must complete an online application through the LSE’s Graduate Application System during the application period. Please make sure you have allowed yourself enough time to complete the application, including providing all the required supporting documents.
