Participating in the Innovation Cup gives you the opportunity to network with top students worldwide, collaborate in groups to create novel solutions for unmet medical needs, and construct a business case with the assistance of seasoned experts. The winning team will split €20,000 in awards from the Merck Group, with €5,000 going to the runner-up and €3,000 going to the third place finisher. Those that performed best overall may receive an offer of a long-term job. Additionally, choices for putting the greatest business strategies into action will be assessed to add even more intrigue.

Conditions
- Postgraduate students in the biological sciences pursuing a PhD in biotechnology, bioinformatics, computer science, data science, biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, engineering, or allied subjects are eligible to apply.
- Advanced MBA students and recent MBA graduates with a background in life sciences and an interest in the pharmaceutical industry are also encouraged to apply, as are postdoctoral students.
- Healthcare practitioners are not eligible to enroll in this program.
