The Republic of Equatorial Guinea, which funds the Prize, can honour up to three laureates each year. Along with a diploma and the “Integracion Tribal” statuette by Equatorial Guinean artist Leandro Mbomio, they each receive a cash prize worth USD 350,000 to aid in the advancement of their research.
