BMW Group South Africa is seeking motivated and outstanding graduates to join the 2023 graduation programme. The program is designed for recent graduates who have finished their studies within the last 18 months.
There is an exciting opportunity for a history student or engineering student with excellent research and archival skills and competencies, as well as a passion for the history of the automobile, particularly BMW Group Classic vehicles, to contribute significantly to securing BMW South Africa’s unique automotive heritage. During BMW South Africa’s 50th Jubilee Year, you will join a project team of multi-disciplined experts to research physical and digital databases, conduct interviews, and use other research methods to establish the accuracy of BMW’s historical record in South Africa, as well as research the history of unique and individual BMW vehicle models developed and built only in South Africa.

Qualifications:
Study Subjects:
- A university degree or higher, with a minimum pass grade of 65% in one of the following career fields:
- Engineering (Mechanical / Automotive concentration is preferred).
- Historical Studies (particularly archival and research abilities and experience are desirable).
Competencies and abilities:
- Thinker who can think conceptually and analytically.
- Resilient and self-sufficient.
- Results oriented.
- Excellent learning agility.
- Effective communication skills and the capacity to conduct interviews with a diverse group of people are required.
- Adaptability is a virtue.
- Computer literacy and the ability to understand and deal with digital databases are required.
- A working knowledge of German would be beneficial (but not required).
