The Fellowship’s mission

The fellowship is a week-long residential course at Duke University that is entirely sponsored for the next generation of religious leaders. This is a priceless chance for young people who care about the environment from all backgrounds and ways of life to join a global network of religious actors working on climate change.

Fellows will explore a range of topics and draw on transferrable skills to create effective faith-based climate action projects for their individual communities through expert lectures, interactive sessions, policy dialogues, and vocational training. Renowned experts in the fields of theology, climate change, policy, media, and sustainable development will present the course material.

Our fellows will get knowledge about the following as a result of the program:

The interaction between religious convictions, environmental awareness, and climate change
Identifying the political and economic perspectives of climate change using systems thinking
Planning a project and enlisting community support
effective communication
Community engagement and climate advocacy
Once the program is complete, our Fellows will become members of the FFOP Fellowship Alumni Association, giving them access to a variety of possibilities to participate in FFOP’s regional events and climate and interfaith campaigns.

The costs of all travel, visas, lodging, and food will be covered by Faith For Our Planet.
