The Photography 4 Humanity Global Prize Competition 2023 is currently accepting applications. A worldwide photo contest called Photography 4 Humanity, sponsored by UN Human Rights, challenges photographers to illustrate the importance of human rights in their work.

The focus of the 2023 Global Contest is now on climate justice. Photography 4 Humanity is asking for pictures of those who have been affected by the worsening climate disaster because they believe that it is a human rights issue. Refugees from the effects of climate change, the very young, the very old, the injured and disabled, the impoverished, indigenous and islanders, and women are among them. Photographs of climate change activists promoting change and those working to slow down or stop it are also appreciated.
Prize
The winner of the global prize in 2023 will get $5,000 USD.
Beginning on December 10, 2023, UN Human Rights Day, the pictures of the Global Prize Recipient, Top 10 Finalists, and Top 20 Honorable Mentions will be displayed on UN.org and promoted internationally on social media.
Eligibility
- For entry, you must be at least 18 years old.
- Every photograph must be about people who are being harmed by climate change or who are working to stop, slow down, or reverse it.
- Each image submitted must have the following information: photographer’s name, title, date, location, and description.
- The entire collection of photos has to be taken between September 1, 2022, and August 31, 2023.
Application
Between May 1, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. EST, and August 31, 2023, at 11:59 a.m. PST, all entries must be submitted.
