Program Components

Six built-in pillars that equip Huduma Fellows with the abilities, networks, and mindset to steer transformational change in public service.

  • Leadership Development: Monthly seminars and workshops centered on public service management, ethics, and governance — constructing the foundational expertise for efficient and principled management.
  • Mentorship: One-on-one steerage from skilled public service leaders and coverage makers who present strategic counsel, profession navigation, and accountability.
  • Networking: Building lasting connections with fellow champions and leaders throughout sectors — making a peer community that extends properly past the fellowship 12 months.
  • Study Tours: Immersive publicity visits to profitable public service initiatives, establishments, and governance fashions — studying from what works on the bottom.
  • Project Work: Hands-on expertise via capstone initiatives that deal with actual public service challenges — turning principle into measurable group impression.
  • Knowledge Exchange: Structured boards for sharing experiences, analysis, and greatest practices amongst fellows, alumni, and visiting consultants — fostering collective intelligence.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be between 25-35 years previous
  • Demonstrable curiosity in volunteerism and civic & public service
  • Early stage professionals working in the civic & public sectors in Uganda
  • Interested in public affairs and dedicated to steady studying
  • Based in Uganda or engaged on Uganda-focused public service initiatives
  • Available to take part in all seminars, workshops, and fellowship actions
