Applications at the moment are open for the 2026 Abel Prize Travel Fellowships. The World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ), in affiliation with The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, is providing two journey fellowships for science journalists to attend the Abel Prize Week in Oslo, Norway, from 25–28 May 2026.
The fellowships will permit two journalists to take part within the celebrations surrounding the distinguished Abel Prize, meet main mathematicians, and report on the analysis it acknowledges.
The chosen journalists can have entry to the official occasions organized by The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, together with the Abel Prize award ceremony, and can have Opportunities to interview the Abel Prize laureate(s).
Eligibility
Applicants should:
- Be skilled science journalists working as full-time on workers or as freelancers
- Demonstrate latest expertise (inside the final 5 years) in science journalism, ideally with protection associated to arithmetic or elementary science
- Be ready to attend the complete Abel Prize Week in Oslo (25–28 May 2026)
Applications are welcome from journalists working in print, digital, broadcast, podcasting, or multimedia codecs.
