Eddie Méndez Scholar Award 2026 – YOA

Applications are open for the Eddie Méndez Scholar Award 2026. Fred Hutch Cancer Center is looking for functions for the eighth Annual Dr. Eddie Méndez Scholar Award, which acknowledges excellent postdoctoral fellows from any self-discipline conducting analysis on most cancers, infectious ailments, or fundamental science. The award was created to acknowledge Dr. Méndez’s dedication to most cancers analysis and supporting early-profession scientists. This award goals to construct a group between postdoctoral students looking for tutorial college careers and scientists at Fred Hutch.

The goals of this award are to:

• Share your science and have achievements acknowledged by the FH group
• Network with peer/close to friends (the cohort) and Fred Hutch workers & college
• Provide awardees with data about FH as a potential college and/or open the door for future collaborations

Benefits

• Fred Hutch will present an honorarium to awardees and can cowl all bills associated to journey and lodging.

Eligibility

• Be a postdoctoral researcher looking for a tutorial college place;
• Be finishing a postdoc within the United States;
• Be finishing analysis that aligns with the work being pursued at Fred Hutch;
• Have plans to enter the educational job market within the fall of 2026 or past;
• Have now but entered the educational job market nor accepted a college place.
