Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the next standards:

• At least one 12 months of journalistic writing and/or multimedia manufacturing expertise
• A portfolio with no less than three bylined work samples
• Excellent writing and storytelling abilities
• Strong familiarity with and curiosity in SWANA cultures and communities within the Philadelphia area
• Full-time residency within the Philadelphia space and talent to report in individual
• Commitment to hyperlocal journalism and moral reporting requirements
• Strong editorial judgment, interviewing, organizational, and communication abilities
• Ability to work beneath deadline and incorporate editorial suggestions
• Valid U.S. work authorization and residency within the Philadelphia area

Desirable Qualifications

• Fluency in Arabic, Farsi, Turkish, or one other SWANA language
• Experience utilizing AP Style
