International Children’s Peace Prize 2026 – YOA

Applications are open for the International Children’s Peace Prize 2026. This 12 months marks the twenty second time the International Children’s Peace Prize might be awarded to a younger changemaker who’s preventing courageously for youngsters’s rights.

Launched by KidsRights throughout the 2005 World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Rome, the International Children’s Peace Prize is introduced yearly by a Nobel Peace Laureate. The earlier laureates embody excellent younger changemakers resembling Malala Yousafzai and Greta Thunberg to call just a few.

Benefits

The winner of the International Children’s Peace Prize receives:

• The Nkosi statuette introduced throughout a globally celebrated and broadcasted ceremony.
• The Desmond Tutu Study and Care Fund to contribute to the winner’s training.
• The International Children’s Peace Prize Project Fund, out of which €50,000 is for the winner’s venture. KidsRights additional invests €25,000 in tasks of younger changemakers associated to the theme of the winner.
• A worldwide platform to amplify the winner’s message and improve the outcomes of their changemaking.  

Eligibility

• A child above 12 years and below 18 years of age, from anyplace on the earth.
• The child will need to have a transparent historical past of preventing for the rights of youngsters.
• The child’s changemaking efforts will need to have led to a concrete optimistic outcome on the rights of youngsters, regionally, nationally or globally.
• The child will need to have agreed to be nominated for the International Children’s Peace Prize.
• Individuals and teams of youngsters, of no more than 5, could be nominated. Organizations can’t be nominated.

Nomination

If you realize a younger changemaker, between 12 and 18 years, submit your nomination immediately! Give them the OPPORTUNITY to scale their work as all of the nominees will function on the International Children’s Peace Prize web site, offering them with higher visibility. Application deadline is March 31, 2026 at 17:00 CET.
