CALLING UNDERGRADUATE LEADERS

The Millennium Fellowship is proudly presented by MCN and UN Academic Impact. The Fellowship is a semester-long campus leadership development program designed to increase the extent of your social influence. All it takes to gain exposure, connections, and top-notch training is submitting an application.

Submit an application to become a Millennium Fellow as soon as you can.

It should be noted that there will normally be 8–20 Millennium Fellows for each chosen campus hub, therefore you are highly urged to encourage your peers and coworkers to apply as well. You must submit your Millennium Fellowship Project with your application. Whatever your project is, it needs to have a deadline, be something you can work on throughout the Millennium Fellowship (August through December) in a meaningful, quantifiable way, and advance at least one UNAI principle and one Sustainable Development Goal. It could be (but is not limited to) the following instances:

  • heading a UN-advancing campus organization (such a UNICEF, AIESEC, or ENACTUS chapter).
  • Composing a series on the Sustainable Development Goals for your college newspaper is an example of student journalism.
  • managing a social business.
  • creative research that genuinely supports UN objectives.

putting up a plan of action as a Project, a community and/or campus-wide program that furthers UN objectives. Discover how Middlebury College achieved its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2016 by reading about their successful campus-wide initiative (promoting SDG 13).

You can apply to be one of your university’s two campus directors along with the fellowship if you’d want to curate the Millennium Fellowship on your campus.
