Organizational Design and Reporting
- The OIM’s Data Analytics and Business Applications division is where this role is located. The Senior Information Systems Officer in charge of Data Analytics and Business Applications is the person to whom the incumbent reports.
Accountabilities
The Associate Data Engineer will be in charge of the following tasks under their designated authority:
- Determine which datasets need to be assembled across the enterprise, then work with stakeholders to collect and handle the data.

- Put technical issues relating to data to rest and upgrade the data infrastructure.
- Redesign the architecture for higher scalability, automate manual operations, and optimize data delivery to improve internal processes.
- For data scientists and analysts, extract data features from intricate databases.
- Work together to expand existing solutions or co-create new ones with other technical personnel and developers.
- Create and apply modifications to data systems to guarantee adherence to privacy, security, protection, and data governance regulations.

Instruction
- advanced education in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, data management, information systems, information science, or a comparable quantitative subject (Master’s degree or its equivalent). Instead of the advanced degree, a first-level university degree combined with appropriate experience may be accepted.
Experience at Work
- It is necessary to have at least two years of expertise in modeling, optimization, integration, data management, and other related fields.
- It is necessary to have prior experience working with stakeholders to support analytics efforts and assisting cross-functional teams.
- It is preferred if you have experience with database programming languages (SQL, etc.) and programming languages like Python or R.
- It is desirable to have experience creating pipeline topologies and data integration systems that require the ingestion of data via various protocols, such message queues, database connections, flat files, REST, or particular APIs.
- It is preferable to have prior experience with artificial intelligence, especially with machine learning techniques for large-scale data extraction and mining.
- It is preferred to have prior experience working with self-service analytics software for data discovery, such as Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, and others.
