At Fundación MAPFRE, we encourage and fund research aimed at raising the standard of living of the society’s citizens. In order to promote research in two of the areas of action—health promotion and insurance and social security—they organise the international Ignacio H. de Larramendi Research Grants each year.

The grants are intended for researchers or research teams led by researchers from academic and professional fields who wish to develop research programmes in the mentioned topics, independently or as part of the universities, hospitals, companies, or research centres to which they are affiliated (in both cases, that researcher, the Principal Investigator, must be the only one per project for the purposes of the application).

Fundación MAPFRE would like to recognise the work of researchers and research teams who work independently or within the framework of the universities, hospitals, businesses, or research centres to which they are attached. These researchers and research teams work in the academic and professional domains.
