The International Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA) Social Media Creative Contest is now accepting applications.

Photographers, videographers, painters, lyricists, poets, pursuing scientists, and anyone with a passion for creativity are all invited to participate in the CPHIA Creative Contest and display their original interpretations of the conference theme.
Theme
- Create a work of art that demonstrates your individual interpretation of the 2023 CPHIA topic, “Breaking Barriers, Repositioning Africa in Global Health,” with an emphasis on inclusivity in public health.
Categories
- Participants can choose from the following categories:
- Photography: Capture images that showcase inclusivity and diversity in public health practices or challenges, accompanied by a short description of approximately 50 words.
- Visual Art: Express your creativity through paintings, cartoons, or digital art that represents cooperation and unity in health, along with a succinct description of no more than 50 words.
- Videography: Utilising TikTok/Instagram reels, produce brief documentaries of no more than three minutes that emphasise the significance of inclusive health initiatives in Africa.
- Write an essay of no more than 300 words outlining your vision for a healthier, more just, and innovative Africa as a young leader.
- Poetry: In no more than 300 words, explore your vision for Africa as a young leader setting sail for a healthier, more just, and innovative continent.
Prize Specifics
- All vetted winners will be acknowledged with certificates of recognition and will be highlighted in CPHIA 2023’s official publications, including the website and media platforms.
- For CPHIA 2023, the top 3 winners will receive fully paid scholarships and be given special access to conference sessions.
- Selected contest winners from 2023 will receive invitations to serve as official CPHIA 2024 Ambassadors.
Guidelines
- Participants must submit original work. Plagiarism or using someone else’s work will result in disqualification.
- For visual art or photography, please sign your work or include watermarks that make it harder for someone else to claim the work as their own.
