A request for ideas has been issued by the Transition Promotion Programs Project 2024 Czech Embassy in Lusaka for Transition Promotion Programme (TRANS) projects that will be carried out in Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Zambia in 2024.

Thematic Objectives
- The TRANS Programme concentrates on the following thematic priorities in line with the Concept of the Czech Republic’s strategy on promoting transition and human rights:
- Supporting civil society, including human rights advocates; promoting freedom of expression and information, including freedom of the press; encouraging an equal and full public participation; supporting the development of institutions related to the rule of law; encouraging equality and non-discrimination; and promoting human rights in the contexts of employment and the environment.
Financial Details
- Czech Republic financial support ranges from 100,000 to 500,000 CZK for each initiative.
- Your project can last up to 8 months (from 1.3.2023 to 31.10.2024).
- After receiving the original invoices or receipts, the embassy will repay the costs (prior payments cannot be made).
- After the contract for implementation is signed, the project must be carried out.
eligibility requirements
- The project suggestions should line up with the nation’s top development priorities.
- Only non-political and non-governmental organisations are given funding.
