The programme from Fast Forward is created to cater to the particular requirements of tech nonprofits:

Capital.

  • Compared to their for-profit counterparts, tech nonprofits have various fundraising strategies (including techniques and funding sources) at every level of the fundraising process. We will assist you in navigating the special difficulties and opportunities that tech nonprofits in particular face.

Content.

  • The curriculum has changed. It is true that tech NGOs need to concentrate on product, scaling, and growth. Tech NGOs must, however, also become familiar with board development, governance, using volunteers, and other matters that are unique to nonprofits. They have developed a knowledge base for tech NGOs that is very different from what for-profit businesses would find useful.

Customer.

  • Nonprofits frequently pursue the least profitable client because they prioritise impact above profit, which has a different impact on go-to-market strategy and the customer life cycle than for-profit companies.

Cohort.

  • Being an entrepreneur is lonely. even more so in tech nonprofit entrepreneurship. Tech nonprofit executives claim that their nonprofit concentration prevents them from fitting into for-profit accelerators, just as their product/tech focus prevents them from fitting into nonprofit fellowships. They are eager to participate in a programme with other people in their situation and to assist one another as their organisations develop since they face a common set of issues that are specific to this junction.

Community.

  • Building stronger relationships between the nonprofit and for-profit IT communities is crucial to Fast Forward’s purpose. These organisations, and thus the entire globe, have the potential to be significantly impacted by the tech sector. In contrast to for-profit accelerators, which don’t have to make significant investments in community development because of the nature of venture financing, they place a strong emphasis on collaborative philanthropy.

Eligibility

  • They welcome applications from tech organisations from all over the world (past cohorts have had teams from Switzerland, India, and Spain!). They mandate that at least one team member be present (both physically and digitally) at all sessions and real-world events.
  • Your company needs to be officially recognised as a nonprofit in your nation. B-corporations and for-profit social enterprises are not accepted.

Selection Standards

Leadership.

  • Tech nonprofits deal with every challenge that a tech startup and a nonprofit encounter. The leaders need to have unwavering vision and enormous gumption to pull it off.
  • Tech know-how. The organization’s driving force should be its technological ambition, not a support programme. Tech talent must assume a leadership position in order to carry out that goal successfully.
  • Possibility of Impact. Impact is a complex topic. They enquire inquiries like, “Who is the organisation primarily serving?” to get to the core of an organization’s potential. How many lives will be improved if it is successful? How much of an impact will the organisation have on those lives?

Scalability.

Amazing scalability exists in software. They help organisations that have a change-oriented vision that is only matched by its capacity for scale.
lived encounters with the issue. When faced with problems, people find solutions. They want to provide people the tools they need to deal with issues they see and encounter.

Alignment.

Fast Forward is a tiny company. As a result, they pick the organisations that we can assist scale the most effectively.
