114 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) were admitted into the scheme in 2023, giving each participant the opportunity to request money for ideas and projects centred around football in the local communities where they operate.

For the first time, the FIFA Foundation will organise a series of workshops for NGOs around the world for the 2024 edition of the programme in order to share knowledge and provide assistance with crucial aspects of the application process, with the goal of reducing the number of potentially admissible entities being rejected as a result of administrative mistakes in the application process. The initial workshops will be held the following week.
