COAL Prize for Artists 2023 (Win 12000 Euros)

In order for a creative and adaptable plant-based way of thinking to develop in the future, the COAL Prize 2023 is inviting artists from all over the world to sow the seeds of creation and action, to germinate fresh research and experiments. (COAL Prize for Artists 2023 (Win 12000 Euros))

This Award is a summons to action, transformation, healing, revival, and hybridization. An appeal for people to experience the diversity of plants, their balances, and dynamics—from the seed to the calyx, from the molecule to the ecosystem. An invitation to try—and, why not, to fail—because progress comes from failure.

Stéphanie Pécourt, director of the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles/Paris, founded the international biennial NOVA XX in Brussels in 2017. They promote or coordinate interactions between artists and locals.
