How to get in to IELTS You have to:

• Be at least 18 years old
• be a citizen of the nation from which you are applying (with the exception of Canadian applicants), have taken the IELTS test administered by the British Council between September 1, 2021, and September 15, 2022, and be able to submit a valid IELTS score with your application.
• Request an IELTS test.
• have an overall IELTS band score of at least 5.5.
• begin undergraduate or postgraduate courses in the academic year 2023–24, if applying to a school anywhere in the globe that uses IELTS as a requirement for admission.
• be able to present your university’s letter of acceptance no later than September 30, 2022.

High-calibre individuals with the drive to further their careers and who have the potential to give back to society what they have learned via undergraduate or graduate school are given the IELTS Prize.

Applying procedure
Fill out the online IELTS Prize application completely, and upload copies of your:

1. IELTS test report form from the British Council
2. A current passport-sized photo
3. A passport or other form of documentation demonstrating your residency in one of the nations that qualify.
4. Certificate for Special Requirements (if applicable)

It is also feasible to email your country’s office these documents.
