A convertible grant facility for female-owned firms in Nigeria has been announced by She Works Here, the largest all-accelerator women’s in Nigeria – CLEAN ENERGY GRANTS FOR NIGERIAN WOMEN SME’S
By offering catalytic repayable loans that assist female-owned firms develop the supply chains in the renewable energy sector, improve technology, or hire people, the award aims to close the gender gap in Africa’s expanding renewable energy sector.
Only She Work Here’s Accelerator graduates will be eligible for FOCUS Grants.
enterprises operating in the renewable energy sector that are owned or run by women
Supported technologies include waste-to-energy, mini-grids, and solar household systems.
Projects that support the economic empowerment of women by making it possible for them to use energy productively as end users will be given priority.
CONVERTIBLE GRANT OF $5,000,000.00 (Five Million Naira Only)
Eligibility requirements
- The She Works Here alumni
- Experience in the field of renewable energy; obvious effects of technology on women
- The capacity to demonstrate sustainability after the grant
- 2-year annual audit report
- Able to repay grant over a 12-month period
- The application period runs from July 31 until August 31
