Women in Software Engineering (WiSE) Internship Program is a flagship 12-month virtual internship program that will offer real-world engineering and technology product development experience including basic designing, coding, documentation, et cetera. Each intern will be matched to a manager and a mentor throughout the program. Our interns write real software and collaborate with a selected group of experienced software development engineers to provide the best solutions to our customers. This program lasts from October 2022 to September 2023.

The internship will focus on the following areas of software engineering:

  • Frontend engineering
  • Backend engineering
  • QA engineering
  • DevOps engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
  • Assist in designing and coding the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
  • Collaborate with experienced mPharma Engineers to conceive, design, and bring to market innovative products and services.

Eligibility

  • Only female applicants are eligible.
  • Applicant must have less than 2 years of relevant work experience in software engineering.
  • Open to women from any educational background with a strong interest in software engineering. Educational background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields is preferred, but not required.
  • Although no specific programming language is required – you should be familiar with the syntax of languages such as Java, C/C++, Javascript, or Python.
  • Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
  • Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly.
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
  • Passionate about coding, cutting-edge technologies, and developing great products.
