ASIP program is founded by Moh Damush, Telecel Group CEO. To create ASIP Accelerator Program, Telecel Group partnered with Startbootcamp AfriTech and this program contributes in a meaningful way to the African community to help young startups in African countries whose innovative ideas are creating a difference in their communities. The first SBC AfriTech program supported forty extra ordinary African startups that have managed to set an unbelievably high bar for the next program since 2017 as mentioned below;

  • 90% are still operating and scaling at an incredibly impressive rate
  • 40% have raised follow-on rounds of funding
  • 50% of the startups raising capital have closed rounds at valuations more than ten times since the demonstration day.

Requirements For The Program

To qualify for this program, you must have a startup that;

  • Is to be formally incorporated
  • Has at least two (2) people working on the project and devoting at least 50% of their time to the project
  • Has products or services being used by customers or clients
  • Is generating revenues for the products or services

Three-Month Program

The program will have an intense period of three months designed to support entrepreneurs scale to their industry-changing technology businesses.

Masterclasses

The sessions covering scaling fundamentals  from business model canvas to lean methodology and to fundraising will be taught by experts.

Take Home

SBC launched an Accelerator Squared, a fully online platform which enables startups to access the complete library of content, during the Covid pandemic. This platform addedly offers group workshops, a one-to-one mentoring, collaborative sessions together with entrepreneurs in residence not forgetting invite-only discussion groups with founders from around the world.

This program begins in Dakar, leading into a physical Demo Day where startup founders pitch their solutions to an audience of media, investors, corporate partners and, industry stakeholders.
