FameLab Climate Change Communicators competition is a global online competition and training event to build trust in climate science.

British Council invites all wiling climate change advocates to hand in a video giving a 3minute speech in English about the topic of `Trust in Climate Science’. Whether you’re an early work researcher, working on climate change projects- or simply passionate about elaborating about climate science to new congregations- it would be a pleasure to hear from you.

Ten selected finalists will go head to lead in the FameLab Climate Challenge Communicators Online Final in September 2021 to toss it out for the first place that will amaze judges and global congregations and be awarded winner?

FameLab is a competition founded and created by Cheltenham Festivals and delivered worldwide by British Council under license.

Eligibility for FameLab Climate Change Communicators competition

One should be from one of the following participating countries for the aim of study, research or long-term paid/voluntary employment: Azerbaijan, Bosnia, Albania, Botswana, China, Brazil, Herzegovina, Jordan, Mexico, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Turkey, India, Serbia, Uganda, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines.

Studying or working in roles that relate to science, technology, engineering, medicine or mathematics. Individuals working in climate change related work in organizations such as non-government organizations (NGO) and charities are welcome to apply.

One should be aged 21 years or above.

WELCOME:

Tutors in mathematics or engineering subjects, science, including expert science teachers with a science degree

Researchers who use existing research or Meta-studies- they don’t have to be getting their hands dirty.

People who work on applying science, technology or mathematics- for example, those in NGO`s, charities, environmental organizations, technology start-ups, statisticians, computer technicians, consultants to industry

Postgraduate students of science, mathematics or engineering

Applicants of science, engineering or mathematics in industry or business

All finalists will take part in a two-day online master class given by best science communication trainers.

You will meet and network with an expertized team of judges, and join a network of like-minded people from all over the world, as well as the wider FameLab community.

Cheltenham Festivals held the first FameLab in 2005. The partnership with the British Council in 2007 made the competition global,  until now, over 40,000 scientists and engineers have always taken part.

The obverall winner of the FameLab Climate Change Communicators is to be crowned a place in the FameLab International Online Final in November, where you will join over 20 countries for further training, networking and the opportunity to compete to be the global FameLab International Winner 2021.
