The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Young Leaders Programme 2027 for young Cameroonians.

Applications are actually open for the 2027 Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Young Leaders Programme, an initiative devoted to strengthening the political participation of young women and men concerned in civil society, commerce unions, and political events in Cameroon.

For the 2027 version, 25 young men and women will probably be chosen to take part in 8 two-day coaching classes (Thursday to Friday), organized on the finish of every month from March to December 2027, both in individual or on-line (Zoom).  These classes will cowl a wide range of matters: political management, strategic communication, democratic values, and operational administration instruments.

Goals

The program goals to:

– To develop young folks’s expertise in management, communication, administration and decision-making.

– To promote democratic values, social justice and lively political participation.

– To strengthen citizen engagement in addition to understanding of governance and human rights.

– To encourage young folks to take part in fixing the challenges dealing with society.

– Building networks between young leaders from numerous skilled and organizational backgrounds.

Eligibility standards

Candidates should:

– Be aged between 18 and 35 on the time of application;

– Reside in Cameroon;

– Be accessible for all classes of this system;

– Hold a college diploma (or be within the means of acquiring the primary diploma);

– To be actively concerned in civil society, political events, commerce unions or group initiatives;

– To have demonstrated management potential and an curiosity in social and political growth.

Selection course of

• The application part runs from November 3 to December 10, 2026.
