ITU Equals in Tech Awards 2027 for Gender Equality & Mainstreaming in Technology.

Applications at the moment are open for the 2027 ITU Equals in Tech Awards. First launched in 2014, the Awards acknowledge efforts on the international, regional and nationwide ranges that use expertise to rework the lives of girls and women. Under the renewed EQUALS 2.0 framework, the 2027 version introduces three award classes aligned with the partnership’s present workstreams. Winners obtain recognition from a worldwide, multisectoral partnership dedicated to gender equality in the digital age, be a part of a robust neighborhood of help and increase their networks.

Award Categories

​EQUALS is looking for functions for initiatives of all sizes, from each area, in the next award classes:

• Safe and Inclusive Digital Spaces Award: Initiatives that promote secure, inclusive and empowering digital environments in which girls and women can take part totally and profit from digital applied sciences, free from on-line violence, harassment and exclusion.
• Emerging Tech for Inclusion Award: Initiatives, programmes, services or products that promote equitable entry to and advantages from rising applied sciences—together with synthetic intelligence, local weather applied sciences and different progressive digital instruments—for girls and women.
• Digital Skills & Leadership Pathways Award: Initiatives that equip girls and women with digital expertise, strengthen their management capabilities and Opportunities, and supply scalable pathways to management roles in the digital economic system.

Eligibility Requirements

• Applications are open worldwide to civil society and non-governmental organizations, authorities establishments, worldwide organizations, tutorial and analysis establishments, private-sector entities, multi-stakeholder initiatives, social enterprises and entrepreneurial ventures.
• Each application should current a selected programme, initiative or venture aligned with one of many three classes.
• The programme, initiative or venture should nonetheless be ongoing and should not have concluded on the time of application.
• Applications looking for recognition for a company as a complete should not eligible.
