Applications are open for the AGRA–SMEDAN Youth Agri‑Innovation Contest 2026. Agriculture employs extra younger Nigerians than every other sector, but many agripreneurs battle to succeed in recommendation and capital. The contest finds the strongest youth-led concepts, practice them, and put them in entrance of financiers.

The focus areas embrace:

• Maize: From discipline to feed mill
• Rice: Paddy to milled grain
• Soybean: Protein and worth addition
• Allied commodities: Other agrifood worth chains

Benefits

The program gives:

• Certified entry-to-finance coaching
• Pitch rounds judged by knowledgeable reviewers
• A reside Grand Finale and Deal Room with financiers
• Seed capital and assist for ten winners
• Six months of mentorship and aftercare for winners

Eligibility

• Open to Nigerian youth aged 18 to 35;
• Running an agribusiness, or constructing one;
• From any state in Nigeria;
• Working in maize, rice, soybean or allied agrifood worth chains;
• At any stage, from concept to established enterprise.

Women, rural youth and individuals with disabilities are strongly inspired to apply.
