Halcyon’s Africa Innovation in Agriculture and Food Security Program helps early-stage, impact-driven ventures throughout Sub-Saharan Africa which can be strengthening agriculture and meals techniques by way of market-based options.

Halcyon is looking for founders constructing options that enhance the livelihoods and resilience of smallholder farmers, strengthen meals safety, and assist communities adapt to climate-related challenges. Ventures must be post-revenue/pre-profit, working full-time on their enterprise.

Program Details

• Selected entrepreneurs will take part in a hybrid program that includes digital programming, a residency in Accra, Ghana, and a second residency in Nairobi, Kenya.

Eligibility

• Location: Must be based mostly in Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Stage:
  • Must have a working Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and a practical potential to scale.
  • Must be on the paid-pilot or post-revenue stage.
  • Must show early industrial traction and market validation by way of paid pilots, income, buyer contracts, or comparable indicators of market demand.
  • Should show early proof of impression on smallholder farmers, low-income or susceptible communities, or meals techniques.
• Team:
  • Applicant have to be the CEO or maintain main decision-making energy.

  • Must be working full time.
