Applications at the moment are open for the 2026/2027 TradeRoots Africa-ICC Programme. Launched by the ICC Centre of Entrepreneurship on the 2025 B20 Summit in South Africa, TradeRoots Africa Ecosystem helps SMEs throughout the continent develop into export-ready underneath the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the Regional Economic Communities (RECs). By turning continental and regional commerce insurance policies into sensible Opportunities, TradeRoots Africa empowers African companies to compete regionally and globally.

In collaboration with ICC nationwide committees and African chambers, TradeRoots Africa will construct a SME help system by way of a sequenced, sensible framework round six pillars:

• Trade data and market entry
• Trade finance
• Logistics, customs and air transport
• Digital commerce instruments
• Mentorship

Requirements

The programme seeks a balanced cohort of rising SMEs, growth-stage companies and established SMEs with sturdy potential to scale throughout African markets. To apply, your corporation should meet the next standards:

Your enterprise

• Majority African-owned
• Registered and legally working in an AfCFTA State Party*
• Has been buying and selling for a minimum of 24 months
• Has a minimal annual turnover above USD 5,000.
• Has a services or products that is able to export — not a enterprise concept

Candidate Profile

• Digital Trade Readiness: Demonstrate a scalable digital presence by being  discoverable by way of an lively e-commerce platform, on-line market, or social commerce channel.
• Has a enterprise proprietor or senior supervisor who will personally take part within the programme
