Nominations are invited for the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation Leading for Humanity 2027 Cohort. This flagship programme nurtures a world era of brave leaders who embody the values and ethical braveness of Archbishop Tutu, catalysing the “million ripples” of change wanted on the earth.

Leading for Humanity is an immersive 8-day residential journey that nurtures brave leaders for fact and justice. Through brave conversations, peer alternate, and private reflection, contributors discover themes like self-restore, forgiveness, and Ubuntu. The expertise builds the ethical braveness to steer from wherever you’re and connects you to a lifelong neighborhood of objective.

The programme focuses on themes similar to:

• Self-repair for societal restore
• Ubuntu and compassionate management
• Forgiveness, indignation, and righteous anger
• Finding objective and constructing a “Circle of Courage”

Benefits

• The Foundation covers all programme prices, lodging, and meals. Participants (or their sponsors) are accountable for journey to and from South Africa.
• Participants achieve a stronger ethical compass, the braveness to steer from the place they’re, and a lifelong connection to a various neighborhood of change-makers.

Eligibility

They welcome nominations of people who show:

• Leadership potential and braveness – individuals who get up for fact, human rights and justice within the spirit of Archbishop Tutu.
• Diversity of backgrounds – leaders of any age, sector or life expertise who’re prepared to have interaction deeply with themselves and others.
• Commitment to societal restore – people keen to have interaction in susceptible, difficult conversations and to decide to an intensive residential expertise.
• South African or worldwide candidates – they encourage nominations from throughout the globe. However, nominees should have the ability to journey to Cape Town and Hermanus and take part absolutely within the programme.

Self nominations and nominations by colleagues, mentors, employers or neighborhood members are welcome.
