Kenya Artificial Intelligence Accelerator Programme 2026 – YOA

Applications are open for the Kenya Artificial Intelligence Accelerator Programme 2026. The accelerator is a nationwide initiative of the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy (MICDE), the Technopolis Development Authority (TDA), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Kenya to determine and help secure, accountable and excessive-affect AI use circumstances that strengthen public-service supply and advance Kenya’s inexperienced transition.

There are two pathways:

• Public-Service Delivery AI
• GreenTech & Environmental AI

Eligibility

General Eligibility for All Applicants

• Be legally established or formally acknowledged in Kenya.
• Submit a clearly outlined downside or use case beneath one pathway.
• Identify supposed customers, prospects or beneficiaries and clarify why AI is suitable.
• Describe anticipated public, environmental, social or financial worth.

GreenTech Startup & Innovator Eligibility

Applicants choosing the Kenyan Startup or Innovator class should meet the next:

• Legally registered and working in Kenya, with clearly recognized founders and possession.
• Technology-enabled resolution addressing an eligible GreenTech problem.
• AI already contributes — or may materially contribute — to the proposed resolution.
• Committed core group with capability to take part all through the programme.
• Understanding of supposed prospects, customers or beneficiaries.
• Prototype or minimal viable resolution.
• Access to, or a reputable plan to acquire, the information required for growth and testing.
• Relevant approvals/licenses in place, or a reputable compliance plan.
• Basic company governance and accountability preparations.
