Applications at the moment are open for the 2026 Kenya Artificial Intelligence Accelerator Programme. A nationwide initiative of the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy (MICDE), the Technopolis Development Authority (TDA), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Kenya to establish and assist secure, accountable and high-impact AI use instances that strengthen public-service supply and advance Kenya’s inexperienced transition.

General Requirements

• Be legally established or formally acknowledged in Kenya.
• Submit a clearly outlined drawback or use case underneath one pathway.
• Identify meant customers, clients or beneficiaries and clarify why AI is suitable.
• Describe anticipated public, environmental, social or financial worth.
• Describe accessible information or present a reputable data-access and preparation plan.
• Identify a accountable focus and group.
• Participate in evaluation, technical help, monitoring and accountable AI critiques.
• Comply with relevant Kenyan authorized, regulatory, licensing, data-protection and IP necessities.

GreenTech Startup & Innovator Eligibility 

Applicants deciding on the Kenyan Startup or Innovator class should meet the next:

• Legally registered and working in Kenya, with clearly recognized founders and possession.
• Technology-enabled answer addressing an eligible GreenTech problem.
• AI already contributes — or may materially contribute — to the proposed answer.
