The EU Youth Sounding Board brings collectively 15 young folks from throughout Kenya to advise the European Union Delegation to Kenya on youth participation and empowerment. Eligibility Requirements

Applicants ought to meet the next eligibility standards:

  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Be between 18 and 30 years of age through the challenge implementation interval, ending in March 2028.

  • Second stage: shortlisted candidates can be invited for interviews between 16 October 2026.
  • Reference checks and verification: Following the interviews, shortlisted candidates will bear reference checks and verification of candidates’ organizational affiliations, management expertise, and engagement with youth-led initiatives, networks, actions, or civil society organizations between 21—30 October 2026.
  • Final choice: Successful candidates can be notified of the result on 2 November 2026.
  • Onboarding: Formal onboarding of chosen members and an inception assembly to introduce the YSB framework, expectations, and engagement with the EU Delegation and consortium companions. From 9-13 November 2026.
