Applications at the moment are open for the 2026 King’s Commonwealth Fellowship Programme Climate Resilience Fellowships. The King’s Commonwealth Fellowship Programme Climate Resilience Fellowships, impressed by His Majesty King Charles III, will present professionals engaged on the frontline of local weather adaptation from throughout the public sector, civil society, and personal sector in Commonwealth SIDS with an accredited one-year skilled improvement programme targeted on local weather adaptation observe. 

This fellowship will assist the long-term resilience of Commonwealth SIDS to local weather change by way of:

  • Strengthening the capability of mid-career professionals in Commonwealth-based SIDS to virtually tackle the present and future local weather adaptation challenges of their home nation 
  • Providing a collaborative platform for the testing and implementation of local weather adaptation options for SIDS 
  • Developing a cross-sectoral and worldwide community of local weather adaptation professionals, working collectively to face challenges and embrace Opportunities

To do that, the Fellowship will contain participation in a solutions-focused, sensible one-year skilled improvement programme in local weather adaptation observe that’s grounded within the contributors’ real-world experiences. 

Requirements

  • Mid-career professionals (throughout any sector) working in a local weather adaptation practice-related position.
    • Mid-career is outlined as 5-15 years of direct or associated expertise to local weather adaptation observe (or equal) – not job title.  
    • Applicants will need to have a deliberate dedication to 10-20 years of more and more accountable roles inside this area.
