Applications are open for the Gender Responsive Research for Optimized Women (GROW) Fellowship 2026. Targeting girls breeders in Africa, the GROW Fellowship seeks to contribute to extra gender-responsive crop enchancment techniques by strengthening the management pipeline of girls professionals working in plant breeding and associated fields.

The immersive non-residential Fellowship seeks to speed up the management, visibility, and profession development of girls breeders by strengthening their capability to guide gender-responsive breeding analysis, affect scientific and coverage agendas, and turn out to be acknowledged leaders driving crop and livestock enchancment efforts on the continent. 

The Fellowship targets African girls breeders who are actively engaged in crop enchancment analysis and growth. Participants might be drawn from universities, nationwide agricultural analysis techniques (NARES), the non-public sector, and different establishments concerned in crop breeding.

Eligibility

The Program seeks functions from girls professionals who: 

• Are residents of any African nation; 
• Hold no less than a Master’s diploma in plant or livestock breeding and actively engaged and working towards on this subject; 
• Have no less than 5 years of expertise in crop or livestock enchancment analysis; 
• Are affiliated with universities, nationwide agricultural analysis establishments, non-public firms or different organizations concerned in crop enchancment; 
• Are accessible and dedicated to taking part totally in all Fellowship actions supplied over a two-12 months interval; 
• Are not presently taking part in different AWARD Fellowships.
