researchers in Physics, Mathematics, Computer and Information Sciences, Chemistry, Earth & Related Environmental sciences, every working in : Africa and the Arab States; Asia and the Pacific; Europe; Latin America and the Caribbean or North America. Each of the Laureates will obtain €100,000.

Created in 1998, the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Awards acknowledge and
help eminent ladies in science all through the world. Each 12 months, 5 Laureates are acknowledged
for his or her contributions to the development of science, in Life Sciences or Physical Sciences,
Mathematics and Computer Science in alternating years.

The 2027 version of the International Awards will honour 5 excellent scientific researchers in
the sphere of Physics, Mathematics, Computer and Information Sciences, Chemistry, Earth & Related
Environmental Sciences, working in the next areas:

• Africa and the Arab States
• Asia and the Pacific
• Europe
• Latin America and the Caribbean
• North America

  One candidate shall be chosen from every of the 5 areas, eligibility being decided by

Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should:

• Members of Academies of Science,
• Holders of Research Chairs,
• Full professors,
• Former Laureates of the For Women in Science International Awards.
