Applications at the moment are open for the 2026 DOT Kenya CISCO Climate Champions Program. The DOT Climate program is constructing a motion of youth-led local weather motion grounded within the perception that young individuals are highly effective changemakers. Through a youth-led, hybrid mannequin, DOT will recruit, practice, deploy, and help native youth leaders as Climate Champions. These Champions can be outfitted with DOT’s Climate Curriculum and Participatory Action Research (PAR) Toolkit, enabling them to have interaction communities in co-designing and implementing small-scale, regionally pushed local weather options.

Key Responsibilities:
As a DOT Climate Champion, you’ll:
- Complete a 4-week hybrid coaching programme, comprising three weeks of digital classes and one week of in-person coaching, commencing June 2026.
- Conduct baseline surveys & neighborhood coaching
- Mobilize and coach neighborhood members
- Form and lead a 7-9 individual Participatory Action Research (PAR) working group
- Gather neighborhood insights through participatory strategies
- Co-design and implement native local weather options
- Present the answer and share studying outcomes
- Submit studies and have interaction in steady enchancment processes
- Engage and collaborate with like minded local weather leaders and organizations globally, together with participation in digital discussions and calls
- Strengthen social media and digital advocacy expertise to successfully promote local weather options
