Applications at the moment are open for the 2026 RESONANCE Residency Programme. The RESONANCE residency programme is inviting Nigerian-based creatives to apply for a prestigious three-month keep in Paris. This annual initiative, co-constructed by the Cité internationale des arts, ART X Lagos, and the French Embassy in Nigeria, goals to foster mobility and broaden the skilled networks of actors throughout the Nigerian artwork scene.

Residency dates

  • Curatorial Residency: from October 2 to December 28, 2026
  • Design Residency: from November 3, 2026 to January 28, 2027
  • Visual Arts Residency: from November 3, 2026 to January 28, 2027

Requirements

The programme is open to:

Curators

  • of all nationalities who reside and work in Nigeria;
  • who’re aged over 23 on January 1st of 2026;
  • who can justify at the very least 5 years of expertise in curatorial practices (minimal of two exhibitions curated and two publications in referenced artwork media);
  • who can absolutely commit throughout the residency interval to the event of their analysis undertaking with the mentor, and to connecting with the Cité’s setting.

Artists of all disciplines throughout the area of visible arts (plastic arts, digital arts, images, efficiency)

  • of all nationalities who reside and work in Nigeria;
  • who’re aged over 23 on January 1st of 2026;
  • who can exhibit at the very least 2 years of expertise in creative practices of their portfolio;
  • who can absolutely commit throughout the residency interval to the event of their analysis undertaking with the mentor, and to connecting with the Cité’s setting.

Designers of all disciplines (furnishings, object, digital and print):

  • of all nationalities who reside and work in Nigeria;
  • who’re aged over 23 on January 1st of 2026;
  • who can exhibit a dedication to the observe as an expert and a researcher;
  • who can absolutely commit throughout the residency interval to the event of their analysis undertaking with the mentor, and to connecting with the Cité’s setting.

All candidates needs to be in possession of a sound passport and in a position to journey overseas and absolutely commit to the residency on the devoted time frame.

Curator Award Winner

Application Requirements

Required paperwork: 

  • A Resume presenting your tutorial {and professional} background, and your contact and postal deal with (most 4 pages)
