UNESCO 2026 International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD) (US$ 100,000 for innovative initiatives) – Opportunities For Africans

Applications at the moment are open for the 2026 UNESCO International Fund for Cultural Diversity. Through an open and aggressive course of, UNESCO fund innovative initiatives with as much as US$ 100,000, carried out over a 12–24-month interval. The initiatives are evaluated primarily based on their relevance, feasibility, monetary administration capability and anticipated outcomes.

The IFCD invests in initiatives that result in structural change via:

The introduction and/or elaboration of insurance policies and mesures which have a direct impact on the creation, manufacturing, distribution of and entry to a range of cultural expressions, together with cultural items, companies and actions;

The reinforcement of human and institutional capacities of public sector and civil society organizations, deemed essential to help viable native and regional cultural industries and markets in growing international locations.

Who can apply

Public authorities and establishments from eligible international locations (growing international locations, Parties to the 2005 Convention).

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from eligible international locations (growing international locations, Parties to the 2005 Convention)

International non-governmental organizations (INGOs) registered in international locations Parties to the 2005 Convention

Maximum 100,000 USD

Implementation interval

Minimum 12 months – most 24 months
