APCEIU and UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP), in partnership with the GCED Youth Network, are co-hosting the 12th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED below the theme “Translating Peace into Action: Leveraging Media and the Arts for Youth Advocacy » The workshop seeks to empower younger leaders world wide to drive significant change of their communities by critically and meaningfully participating with the world and exploring how youth can contribute to advancing peace via inventive and impactful advocacy.

This 12 months’s workshop seeks to deepen participant’s engagement with GCED and SEL, with a particular focus on leveraging media and the humanities as instruments for advocacy. The workshop will present protected and inclusive areas the place youth come collectively to talk about urgent international and native challenges, expertise the values of solidarity and variety via interactive actions, study from native bes practices and purchase sensible instruments to take motion in their very own communities.

Participants

  • 40 youth leaders from Official Development Assistance (ODA) recipient international locations who’ve been actively engaged in GCED actions. (Applicants ONLY from ODA recipient international locations are eligible forapplication.

Eligible Participants should fulfill ALL the next necessities:

1. Born between 1998 and 2007

2. Be proficient in spoken and written English

3. Have minimal 2 years of lively expertise in youth actions

4. Have dedication and capability to implement GCED coaching programmes

inside three months after taking part in the primary workshop
