Applications are open for the Standard Chartered Foundation Women in Tech Accelerator 2026. Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC, in partnership with Village Capital is happy to announce the decision for functions for the sixth Cohort of the Standard Chartered Foundation Women in Tech Accelerator.

An annual philanthropic programme for younger, ladies entrepreneurs led by the Standard Chartered Foundation and carried out in Ghana by Ashesi University’s Ghana Climate Innovation Centre, empowers ladies-led and girls-owned companies with the instruments, coaching, and funding wanted to leverage know-how and construct scalable, progressive companies that tackle Ghana’s urgent financial and environmental challenges for sustainable progress and social affect.

Despite ladies driving 34% of formal SMEs (World Bank, 2023) and 44% of micro-enterprises (Ghana Statistical Service, 2021), persistent limitations like restricted entry to finance (65%), digital expertise gaps (40%), and regulatory hurdles (35%) (Mastercard Index, 2023) hinder their progress. Eligibility

Eligible candidates should:

  • Be Ghanaian ladies proudly owning no less than 50% of a registered enterprise
  • Have a enterprise that has operated for no less than 12 months
  • Use know-how or innovation in their product/service
  • Demonstrate social, financial, or environmental affect
  • Commit to full participation in the incubation course of
