Applications are open for the NYFF Youth Leadership Development Fund 2026. The Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF) invites functions from younger changemakers, youth-led organisations, and civic innovation hubs for the 2026 Youth Leadership Development Fund (YLDF). This grant cycle helps daring, youth-led concepts that strengthen Nigeria’s youth ecosystem and advance good governance, inclusion, and democratic participation.

The NYFF is a collaborative initiative applied by LEAP Africa and funded by the MacArthur Foundation, Ford Foundation, and Luminate. It helps youth management by way of inclusive resourcing, capability strengthening, and coverage engagement aimed toward advancing #TheNigeriaWeWant.

Thematic Areas

Applicants might apply underneath a number of of the next areas:

• Policy & Advocacy (youth engagement in public coverage, OGP, youth coverage implementation)
• Electoral Engagement & Democratic Participation (electoral reforms, voter schooling, accountability)
• Accountability & Transparency (finances monitoring, public service supply, native governance)
• Social Inclusion (gender equality, incapacity inclusion, marginalised teams)
• National Cohesion, Peace & Security (peacebuilding, battle prevention, civic-safety belief)

Grants

• Small Grants: $1,000 (Individuals / younger advocates)
• Development Grants: $10,000 (Youth-led, neighborhood-primarily based organisations)
• Catalyst Grants: $50,000 (Civic & innovation hubs serving as regional youth ecosystem anchors)

Eligibility

• Individuals: Young changemakers aged 18–35 with a confirmed monitor document in youth or civic work.
• Organisations: Registered, youth-led and youth-centered organisations working in keeping with the thematic areas.
