Applications are open for the FAO–Hungarian Government Scholarship Programme 2026–2027. The FAO–Hungarian Government Scholarship Programme supplies totally funded postgraduate study alternatives in Hungary for younger professionals.

The following Master of Science diploma programs are provided in English for the 2026–27 educational 12 months:

• Master in Agricultural Biotechnology – Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Szent István Campus, Gödöllő

• Master in Plant Protection – University of Debrecen, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Environmental Management, Debrecen 

Scholarship

The scholarship will cowl:

Selection Process

Student choice will happen in two phases:

• Phase 1: FAO will pre-display candidates and submit functions to the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary that may ship them to the corresponding University as chosen by the candidates. Students should submit solely COMPLETE dossiers. Incomplete dossiers won’t be thought of. Files with out names won’t be processed.
• Phase 2: Selected candidates could also be requested to take a written or oral English examination as part of the admission process. The collaborating University will run an extra choice course of and inform every of the profitable candidates. Student choice might be made by the Universities solely, with none involvement on the part of FAO.
