Proposals are invited for the Roman J. Witt Residency 2026-2027. The University of Michigan’s Stamps School of Art & Design and the U‑M Institute for the Humanities (IH) invites you to apply for the 2026 – 2027 Roman Witt Residency.

The mission of the Roman J. Witt Residency Program is to assist an artist within the manufacturing of recent work in affiliation with the University of Michigan’s Stamps School of Art & Design. The program awards one residency per educational 12 months to a visiting artist/​designer to create new work on the faculty whereas participating the college neighborhood.

During the Witt Residency it’s anticipated that the resident actively engages with the Stamps and IH neighborhood.
