Applications are open for the BASE Fellowship – Spring 2026. The BASE Fellowship is a 12-week, part-time distant program starting in April 2026 and will lengthen to July 2026, designed to develop Black researchers, practitioners, and leaders in AI Safety, AI Security, AI Governance.

Black in AI Safety and Ethics (BASE) exists to extend Black illustration and management in the fields of AI security, Governance, and Security. Their mission is to construct a world group that connects, educates, and empowers Black researchers, professionals, and college students to form the event of secure, equitable, and human-centered AI programs, whereas stopping the gradual disempowerment of the Black diaspora in the age of synthetic intelligence.

Selection Process

Initial Review: Application and References
