The UN Human Rights (OHCHR) 2026  International Contest for Minority Artists – Opportunities For Africans

Application Deadline: 1 March 2026.

Applications at the moment are open for the 2026 UN Human Rights (OHCHR) International Contest for Minority Artists. Artists who self-identify as belonging to a nationwide, ethnic, non secular or linguistic minority are invited to submit high-quality digital photos of 5 artworks associated to the 2026 theme of the International Contest for Minority Artists. Women and LGBTQI+ artists belonging to minorities are significantly inspired to apply.

Requirements

• Artists who self-identify as belonging to a nationwide, ethnic, non secular or linguistic minority are
  invited to apply to the 2026 Edition of the International Contest for Minority Artists.
• All artworks specializing in themes associated to battle and reconciliation are eligible, together with however not
  restricted to pictures, portray, video, set up, drawing, sculpture, digital arts, dancing,
  music, and so forth.

Eligible members embody:

• Individual artists or artist collectives.
• Visual artists working in any medium or creative fashion.
• Women and LGBTQI+ artists from minority backgrounds are strongly inspired to apply.

Applicants should be the unique creators or contributors to the submitted works.

Up to eight, non-hierarchical awards whole will likely be made within the following classes:

Minority Community Engagement (reserved for artists whose work actively includes or advantages the broader neighborhood, together with by demonstrating a robust participatory and/or neighborhood mobilization dimension).

Main Award

Minority Youth Artist (reserved for artists below the age of 35 and preferentially youthful than 24 as of 1 March 2026)
